Say Hello to the World of Chocolate

What pops into your mind when you hear the word “chocolate”? Most of us would picture it as a bar of Cadbury, a box of chocolate truffles, or even a large chunk of chocolate cake. We would picture it as a sweet, delectable desert that tickles out taste buds. After all, everybody has a sweet tooth and what better way to feed it than with a delicious treat like this.

Common figurative representations of chocolate would allow most of us to probably figure it out as something to eat rather than something to drink, or depict it as something sweet rather than something bitter. But chocolate’s long history entails us that it was bitter before it became sweet, and that it was drank before it was ever eaten. But chocolate isn't just a delectable treat.

Fact is, chocolate is also known to lift up one’s mood, boost up the brain, and give extra energy. Its benefits aren't only for indulgence, but for the brain as well. It is even recommended that students feeling drowsy in class could take a small dose of chocolate, and their spirits would easily lift up.

Chocolate is one of the oldest treats that would make each one of us elated. People all around the world are fond of eating chocolates in different shapes, sizes, and forms. Different flavors of chocolate from different parts of the world are being traded and tasted every day. It is a universal luxury that most people enjoy and each manufacturer has their own way of making and molding it into the varieties we now enjoy today. Chocolate is a sweet treat rich in history, full of brain boosting chemicals, and amply found all over the world.
